Camping Trips
Enjoy the nature of Flores and join us on a camping trip overland. Flores has no official camping sites but it is possible to arrange your own camping trip using our car, driver and equipment. The driver will give advice regarding interesting and safe spots where you can put up your camp for the night. Choose your own food at the local markets for dinner (fish and chicken BBQ’s recommended!) or spend an evening with a local family, enjoy dinner together and share experiences between two cultures (the driver can translate). Flores is a mountainous island and Ruteng, Bajawa and Moni (+- 1000 meter high) are cool in the evenings, so it’s nice to camp outside in a tent.
Enjoy being outdoor until late in the evening. You don’t have to worry about anything. Just relax. We can discuss beforehand what you want to see and do, and also how to adapt to interesting activities as finding a shower and going to the toilet. Camping is adventure!
